Real Estate Success From A to Z

Real Estate Top Producers

While there is no formula to be a successful real estate agent, there are habits that top producers have in common. For the last 14 years, successful Broker-Owner of Eagles World Realty, Orgest Lushnja, has been analyzing professionals in the industry to understand what the top producers have in common. “They all strive to provide great customer service and work diligently on making their business better every day through systems and staying on top of technology,” he explains. This is why Mr. Lushnja came up with his complete guide for agents, to educate them on what they should be doing to grow a successful real estate business.

Accountability Partner: Every successful agent has an accountability partner. This person is usually in the same industry and understands the importance of getting things done in a timely manner.

Build a Referral Business: Tell everyone you meet what you do for a living. You never know who is looking to buy or sell in a different state or city.  Simultaneously, work on building good relationships with as many agents as you can. This helps you expand and grow your referral business.  A good place to start is finding Facebook groups of common interests.

Communicate with everyone: Know what method of communication your customers prefer, reply quickly, always be clear and honest. Don’t ever feel like you are over communicating, the #1 consumer complaint is that realtors don’t communicate enough.

Delegate:  Pass on work to others and concentrate on the money producing activities. This is hard because most of us think no one will do the job as well as ourselves, but that is simply not true.

Education: Refuse to be average, be eager to learn new things and to understand the industry, and in return educate your customers. Know the steps from A-Z. Learn about pricing, offers, CMA, advertising, neighborhoods, and anything else you want to master.

Follow up: Create a system to follow up with your customers, leads and prospects. Like Orgest says, “Be consistent and stay on track. Don’t get discouraged, continue with the efforts of reaching out.”

Goal Setting: Be specific about the results you want daily and stick to them. Outcome goals are typically in these three categories: sales and growth, profits and revenue, and building your brand.

Health: Is a state of physical, mental, and social well being. A well-balanced person takes care of their body, mind, and soul. “Spending time with your loved ones is extremely important,” explains Orgest. “When your work life and family life are in harmony, you perform at a higher level,” he says.

Information Source: Be that person for everyone you meet. Read as much as you can and stay on top of the changes in the market.

Join: A nonprofit, a Chamber of Commerce and be active in the community. This is part of the social aspect of healthy living. Giving back to your community is another.

Knowledge: The market is constantly changing and evolving. Professional real estate agents never stop learning. Knowledge is power. Don’t think you know it all, make everyday a learning experience.

Lead Generation: Have a lead generation system in place and do the work required daily.

Master Your Processes: Create and have written systems for everything you do in your real estate business and master them.

Never Give Up: Don’t get discouraged. Persevere and continue putting in work – it will pay off in the long run.

Overcoming fear of rejection: Expect it. By understanding that rejection is a natural part of the real estate business, it won’t hurt as much. Don’t take it personally, let go of false beliefs, remember your WHY, and focus on your successes.

Prospect: Create great prospecting habits – don’t be afraid to make the calls. Set aside 2 hours for this daily.

Qualify: Always verify buyers’ qualifications and access buyers’ motivations. When working with sellers: plan, prepare and participate.

Routine: Start with a morning routine – this sets you up for the rest of the day. Plan and block your daily activities. Stick to a regimented schedule and prioritize, don’t let circumstances dictate your time.

Skill Enhancement: Learn new skills and earn as many certificates as you can. Top producers are continuously looking for ways to develop their skills, abilities, and competencies to enhance their performance.

Time Management: Is key to help your business thrive. Block your calendar and stick to it.

Understand Your Market: Take the time to understand what is happening in your market. Spend time in the MLS, see the new listings, what has sold, and what is trending. Youtube, Google, Podcasts, Skillshare.

Videos, Videos, and More Videos: Don’t get left behind! Start recording videos and be yourself.

Why: Know your Why. Know what motivates you and why are you in real estate. By defining the reason for what you do, your passion will shine through everything you do. For example, Orgest is in the real estate business because he has a passion for helping others.

X-Factor: Be unique, be yourself! There is no wrong way to be yourself. As Orgest says “Stay real.”

Yes: Always work for that yes!

Zoom: Open an account and hold zoom seminars. Practice makes perfect.
